Dispute Resolution, Transfer & Withdrawal Process
Dispute Resolution
Dispute Resolution Policy
Approach
DIS is committed to fostering a collaborative, respectful, and transparent relationship with families. We recognise that misunderstandings or disagreements may occur, and we aim to resolve concerns promptly, fairly, and in a manner consistent with the principles of natural justice, EduTrust requirements, and best practices within international schools in Singapore.
Our dispute resolution framework ensures:
● A clear and accessible process
● Fair and impartial review
● Timely communication
● Proper documentation
● An avenue for external mediation if internal resolution is not possible
DIS encourages parents to raise concerns early so that matters can be addressed constructively and without escalation.
Process
Step 1: Informal Resolution
Parents are encouraged to first discuss any concerns directly with the relevant staff member (teacher, therapist, or administrator), as many issues can be resolved swiftly through open communication.
Step 2: Formal Feedback or Complaint Submission
If the concern remains unresolved, parents may submit a formal complaint via:
the Feedback/Complaint Form, or an email to schooladmin@dynamics.edu.sg
The submission should include a clear description of the issue and any supporting documents.
Step 3: Acknowledgement
DIS will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 3 working days.
Step 4: Investigation & Review
The School Leadership Team (or designated senior staff) will:
● conduct an impartial investigation,
● review relevant documents and statements,
● engage the parties involved, and
● seek clarification when needed.
All matters will be handled sensitively and confidentially.
Step 5: Outcome & Written Response
A written response with the outcome will be provided within 21 working days. If additional time is required due to the complexity of the matter, the parent will be informed in writing.
Step 6: Escalation if Unresolved
If the dispute remains unresolved after the school’s internal process is completed, parents may escalate the matter to one of the following independent bodies:
https://www.skillsfuture.gov.sg/pei/dispute-resolution
DIS will cooperate fully with any independent review.
Step 7: Finality of External Decision
The decision arising from mediation, arbitration, or SSG proceedings shall be considered final and binding on both parties.

Withdrawal Process

Process
