Sharlyn graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, with a Bachelor of Arts with an extended major in Psychology. Upon completion of her degree, she worked one-on-one with children with Autism, ADHD, and Down Syndrome at a Before and After School Care centre in a primary school. She was also a Residential Care Officer with the Queensland Government, supporting individuals with various mental and physical disabilities in their homes and in the community.
Prior to joining Dynamics, Sharlyn was an English as a Second Language Teacher in Japan. As the course coordinator of the literacy course, she worked closely with the director of the company to develop and improve materials for children with learning difficulties.
Sharlyn also has a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education (Special Education) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore. As part of her Diploma, she has done several internships working as a Teaching Assistant in kindergartens and childcare centres. She was also an EIPIC Teacher Aide intern in an early intervention centre.
With a strong passion for working with children with various abilities, Sharlyn believes that all children should be given the opportunity and support to learn and grow. She looks forward to helping and assisting children with skills and strategies to manage their thinking and learning differences.
