English Teacher
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver differentiated English language lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities and styles.
- Implement effective instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support students with special educational needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes for students with disabilities.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in special education / education from recognized university.
- Possess Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA) an advantage.
- Relevant teaching experience in SPED setting / inclusive school setting.
- Relevant working experience with students with challenges and learning difficulties.
- Knowledge & skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior intervention strategies.
- Relevant experience teaching English as Second Language (ESL) learners.
- International Primary Curriculum (IPC) experience/ British Curriculum experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse and multicultural environment.
