Mathematics Teacher

What You'll Do
  • Conduct small group mathematics instruction tailored to students with learning difficulties, adapting lesson content to promote engagement and accessibility.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of numeracy development and support students across core math topics up to Grade 10.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials using evidence-based and AI-enhanced strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, setting measurable, student-centered math goals.
  • Track student progress in mathematical understanding and problem-solving, using formative assessments and adjusting instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom aides, learning support staff, and allied health professionals to provide holistic support in the learning process.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, learning strategies, and how to support learning at home.
  • Foster a respectful, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and capable.
  • Embrace technology and AI as tools to enhance conceptual understanding and engagement in maths.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, MOE-recognized diploma).
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in an inclusive or international school setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with learning difficulties in mathematics.
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and inclusive practices.
  • Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IPC) preferred.
