Relief Teachers
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons as per the plans and resources provided by the absent teacher.
- Facilitate learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.
- Adapt teaching strategies where necessary to suit diverse learners, ensuring accessibility and inclusion.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Ensure smooth classroom transitions and effective time management throughout the school day.
- Be flexible and ready to support different age groups and classes when assigned.
Communication & Feedback
- Provide clear and concise handover notes to the regular teacher on student participation, behavior, and lesson progress.
- Collaborate respectfully with other educators and support staff.
- Escalate any urgent concerns to the Deputy Principal in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Prior teaching experience in an international or inclusive school setting is highly desirable.
- Has relevant working experience with children/people with learning difficulties. Familiarity with inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
- Knowledge & skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior intervention strategies.
- Strong command of English; other language skills are an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse and multicultural environment.
Terms of Employment
- Assignments are provided on an as-needed basis to cover teacher absences. The relief teacher will be engaged only when required.
- May involve support across Early Years, Primary, or Lower Secondary levels.
- Candidates who are Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents or have a pre-approved pass to work in Singapore will be considered for the role.
- Suitable for candidates who want flexibility and manage their family time.
