We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech and Language Therapist to join our team, supporting students in developing the communication skills they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in an inclusive, technology-enhanced school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Therapeutic Intervention
- Provide individual and small-group therapy to students with communication, language, speech, fluency, or social-communication difficulties.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language needs and formulate appropriate intervention goals aligned with academic and developmental benchmarks.
- Deliver therapy through a combination of small group interventions, individualized pull-out support, and in classroom support tailored to meet each student’s needs.
- Support students in developing functional communication, oral language, articulation, vocabulary, grammar, pragmatics, and early literacy skills.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, psychologists, educational therapists, ABA therapists, and classroom teachers to provide cohesive support.
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in student review meetings, helping set communication-based learning goals.
- Train and guide teachers and parents on communication strategies, classroom accommodations, and use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when needed.
Progress Monitoring & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, therapy plans, session notes, progress tracking, and parent communications.
Innovation & Professional Development
- Explore and integrate AI-enhanced speech tools, language apps, and communication aids to enhance therapy and student engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from a recognized university.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with children in school or clinical settings.
- Experience working with neurodiverse learners, including those with ASD, ADHD, language disorders, and social communication challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with AAC tools, early literacy strategies, and technology-based intervention is a plus.
