Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support students and educators in delivering high-quality, inclusive education that fosters academic growth, emotional well-being, and social success.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects by supporting classroom routines and helping manage student behaviour.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning tasks, transitions, or social interaction.
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials, learning aids, and classroom resources to support effective instruction.
Inclusive Student Engagement
  • Support students with diverse learning profiles by implementing accommodations and differentiated strategies as guided by the classroom teacher and specialists.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes participation, confidence, and independence.
  • Monitor and assist with daily routines, including transitions, toileting (where required), snack times, and movement breaks.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the learning support team to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and classroom strategies.
  • Provide feedback on student progress, behaviours, or challenges to the teaching team and participate in team discussions or briefings.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both students and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred from recognised institutions.
  • Prior experience working with children in a school, learning support, or special education setting is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt flexibly to a dynamic school environment.
  • Comfortable assisting with basic care routines for younger or special needs students when necessary.
